Return: Truncale’s freshman returned to their designated freshman seminar spot, the cafeteria, after taking the tour. Students said the tour and seminar were helpful. “It’s a little confusing finding my way around the school but it’s exciting,” freshman Madison Lutz said. “I found out where all my classes are.”

Tour: As part of the seminar, freshman mentors took the incoming freshman on a tour of the school. “I decided to be a freshman because I thought it would be great to help out the freshman,” mentor and senior Heesu Lee said. “I didn’t know what to do when I was a freshman.”

Anticipation: Subschool 2 Counselor Maureen Truncale’s incoming freshmen wait for her to begin a speech on what to expect during their years at Chantilly. This began the first freshman seminar, one of many that will take place throughout the year as part of the Freshman Transition program.
