Fairfax County school year cut short by two days

As the end of June approaches, students anxiously count down the days until the final bell rings and they can exit the building for the last time of the school year. This coming June, however, Fairfax County students will not have to wait as long as previously thought.

Chantilly Pyramid celebrates a college day

“Nifty Fifty” program introduces students to a future in science

Andrew Zwicker, head of science education at the Princeton plasma physics laboratory, came in to talk to students on April 20 during 4th period as a part of the Nifty Fifty (times 2) program. The Nifty Fifty program invites 100 award-winning scientists to visit local middle and high schools.

All publications place at NSPA Seattle convention

At the award ceremony on April 14, all three of Chantilly’s student publications were honored. The literary magazine, “Andromeda” placed third; “The Odyssey,” Chantilly’s yearbook, placed eighth; “The Purple Tide” came in tenth place.

On March 31, Robotics team participated in the First Robotics Competition held in Walter E. Washington Convention Center at Washington DC.
