I attended the Chantilly Drama department’s production of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” expecting their usual level of excellence; what I did not expect was to be utterly blown away. The musical gave an aura of professionalism unseen in many high school productions and even in some professional venues.

Living with the sound of silence

A few members of the Chantilly community are affected by this disability. It is difficult for others to understand because it cannot be seen at first glance. Upon closer inspection, these students and teachers do not suffer in silence. The hearing-impaired embrace their disability and work around it; they are stronger for the experience and the great obstacles they overcome every single day.
