As junior Christine Questch and her reading buddy sit down to start a writing assignment, she receives a Christmas card and a candy cane as a holiday gift. As a reading buddy, Questch spends half an hour every other Thursday at Navy Elementary interacting with her third-grade buddy.

Students recognized in NHS Induction and On-A-Roll

A parade of about 250 students filed into the auditorium on Nov. 30 to be officially inducted into the National Honor Society. The hour-long ceremony featured 11 speakers, including NHS officers, faculty members and principal Teresa Johnson, who spoke about the pillars of the National Honor Society.
